Thank you for considering the North Mississippi Veterans Memorial Cemetery (NMVMC) as a final resting place for you and your loved one. This is the Second State Cemetery in Mississippi and operates under the jurisdiction of the State Veterans Affairs Board (SVAB).

During the Civil War President Lincoln established the first fourteen National Cemeteries to provide burial space for those who died in service of their country. Today there are hundreds of National and State Cemeteries stretching from coast to coast, and in Puerto Rico, Alaska, and Hawaii. These state and national cemeteries provide a dignified burial place for veterans and their dependents.
